About me

Ms. Claudette Peters is a loving and devoted mother of two. She is employed by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda as a Talent Recruit Officer within the Ministry of Sports, Culture, National Festivals and the Arts.

Claudette at the tender age of nine (9) years old unveiled her ethereal voice as a member of her church choir and later joined the Anglican Cathedral Youth Choir. In 1996, Claudette was crowned Ms. Teenage capturing “Best Performing Talent” among other categories.

As a young adult, Claudette started singing in hotels throughout the island, creating a buzz in the hospitality sector. It was evident; her voice would create opportunities beyond her imagination.Claudette quickly outgrew that stage and became a feature member of the High Intensity Band.She was making waves with her dominating energy and later collaborated with other bands such as; Dread and the Balhead, Da Bhann and Taxik. Claudette’s rise to success began with her hit single “Something Got a Hold on Me,” debuting her on the regional and international soca market.

Her titles added her to the history books as;

  • First female to capture the crown
  • First female to win nine (9) titles

In 2005, Claudette’s musical achievements mounted as she was awarded “Best Female Artiste” and “Song of the Year” at the 1st Annual National Vibes Star Project Awards, (Antigua). Claudette received national recognition; the Order of Princely Heritage (OH) which was bestowed by the Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen of England at the 2005 Independence celebrations.

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda in 2014, selected Claudette as one of the artistes to proudly serve as a Cultural Envoy. This afforded her the opportunity to represent her twin island nation; locally, regionally and internationally.

Her achievements as a female entertainer have placed her amongst the top artiste around the region. Her identity and brand is undoubtedly unique.
